It was with great sadness that I saw from NCECA that Val Cushing died last weekend. I did not know him well, but thought his work was superb and on the few occasions we talked he was so helpful and a delightful person to talk with. Exchange Place Studios is our new city centre studio complex and artists have started moving in. This lovely 6 floor Art Deco building was built in 1927 for WH Smith and has beautiful big windows to the North, South, East and West with views across the city. We have created 63 individual and shared studios with 24/7 access.
