Over the the course of the week we will explore smoke-firing techniques resulting from the interaction of clay and fire.

A 5 day intensive workshop: 5 days of  'potting' with no interruptions where each one can explore their creativity through hand-building, sculpting or wheelwork and then relax round the garden table over a home-cooked lunch enjoying conversations with fellow potters.

Ceramics for Syria: Pots from Kevin de Choisy, Mike Dodd, John Leach and Brian Newman

“Ceramics for Syria is a project to raise funds for save the Children’s important work in Syria. Five acclaimed potters, Kevin de Choisy, Mike DoddJohn Leach and Brian Newman from Somerset and Richard Dewar from Brittany have donated 11 beautiful ceramic pieces for sale.They are all new, individual hand-thrown pieces from the potters’ studios and the prices range from £65 to £265. They can be viewed  on the Drystones website and the Pilton Village website or if you want to see them on display, telephone 01749 890387 to arrange a viewing.  If we can sell them all before February 23rd we will get matched funding from the UK  government. Three have already been sold. “
