If you are passing Lincoln, it is well worth visiting the Cathedral, an amazing building with medieval glass in the rose window and generally dating from the 12th century. For lovers of Contemporary Ceramics, on the left at the East end lie Robin Welch’s five candle stick holders, known as the ‘Gilbert Candles’ Commissioned in 1985 these are stunning examples of Robin’s work in a stunning setting.
I visited Earth and Fire at Welbeck for its 2nd year. An excellent show, with over 130 makers showing, great weather, great work and great food – what could be better? Definitely one for your calendar next year!!
