Students will learn about preparing clay and different techniques of ceramics from pinch pots and coiled pottery, to slab building and throwing. Students are also guided on aspects of decoration and glazing.

Studio Pottery Making techniques: A terms course covers a project in each - pinching, coiling, slab building and throwing.

8 month Studio Residency/Studio Assistant in central London with Nicola Tassie

Unique opportunity for a dedicated studio potter. Nicola Tassie is looking for an organised, experienced thrower to assist her 1 day a weekin all aspects of tableware production plus general studios duties.

Payment will be on a daily rate with the option of increasing hours once proficiency is acquired.

At other times the fully equipped studio (with electric kilns, shimpo wheels) will be available to you at a subsidised rate for you to develop your own practice.
