Students will learn about preparing clay and different techniques of ceramics from pinch pots and coiled pottery, to slab building and throwing. Students are also guided on aspects of decoration and glazing.

Studio Pottery Making techniques: A terms course covers a project in each - pinching, coiling, slab building and throwing.

Jane and Dylan Bowen Slipware Courses 2018.   13 Р16 July  20-23 July   2 Four day making and decorating courses held in Oxford.This year Jane and Dylan are running two 4 day courses in Oxford, exploring dynamic making and decorating techniques.

Course 1: Friday 13 July to Monday 16 July 2018

Course 2: Friday 20 July to Monday 23 July 2018

We will again be using the spacious and well equipped ceramic studios at St Edwards School Oxford.

Course 1: Is an introduction to working and creating with clay and slips. This course has a full and structured program.

Course 2. also resolves around the use of slip, but with more of an emphasis on your own ideas
