Ceramica at RIBA North 28th October to 10th February, 2018 On Saturday 28 October RIBA North, the RIBA's new national architecture centre on the Liverpool Waterfront, opens its second exhibition, Ceramica, showcasing the future use of ceramics and technology in architecture.

Slip Decorating With Richard Wilson - 23rd - 25th June 2017
Students will be throwing or press moulding forms to decorate with slips.
Residential Pottery Courses in France with Sylph Baier - 14th May to 14th October, 2017
It is mainly throwing based and would suit students with some throwing experience but other techniques can also be covered as well as glazing and firing in electric and gas reduction kiln
Classes in Portugal - Catherine Portal - 18th - 22nd September 2017
A 5 day intensive workshop: 5 days of  'potting' with no interruptions where each one can explore their creativity through hand-building, sculpting or wheelwork and then relax round the garden table over a home-cooked lunch enjoying conversations with fellow potters.

HEY CLAY! AT LEACH POTTERY, ST IVES: 4 & 5 December 2015


Come along to the Leach Pottery in St Ives and make a clay character either in one of our free morning classes or at our ‘drop-in’ sessions in the afternoons to help us make a whole community of clay people.

These hand-building sessions are for everyone, all ages and abilities. No firing is included.

Morning Classes: booking essential (see below)
Session 1: Friday 10am –10.45am.  Make a clay figure. 10 Places
Session 2: Friday 11.15am – Midday.  Make a clay figure. 10 Places
Session 3: Saturday 10am –10.45am. Make a clay figure. 10 Places
Session 4: Saturday 11.15am – Midday. Make a clay figure. 10 Places

Afternoon ‘drop-in’ sessions: 
Friday and Saturday
1pm – 3pm
*Get messy with our Giant Clay Etch-A-Sketch
*Create a clay character to add to our community of clay figures
NB afternoon sessions are approximately 30 minutes, max 10 people at any one time. Please note: there may be some waiting time if busy.

Other activities:
*Free entry to museum on Friday and Saturday
*Free throwing demonstrations in the old pottery

There is limited parking onsite and a large car park opposite (£5 per day)

The Crafts Council and BBC Creative have joined forces to present Hey Clay! from the 4 to 6 December 2015. Hey Clay! is a national celebration of clay giving everyone the chance to unleash their inner potter.
