Students will learn about preparing clay and different techniques of ceramics from pinch pots and coiled pottery, to slab building and throwing. Students are also guided on aspects of decoration and glazing.

Studio Pottery Making techniques: A terms course covers a project in each - pinching, coiling, slab building and throwing.

Handmade at Kew 6 – 9 October (Application deadline 31 March 2016)

The deadline is fast approaching for the second edition of Handmade at Kew! This four day event is set to become the leading international showcase for contemporary craft. We invite applications from individual makers, groups and galleries of contemporary craft working across all disciplines.
