Mission Gallery Redevelopment: Exhibition and Artist’s Commission
Mission Gallery is applying for planning permission and listed building consent for the refurbishment, remodeling and extension of the existing Grade II listed Mission Gallery building with a new lift, staircase, retail and gallery areas and with the addition of an accessible disabled toilet. The work will enable Mission Gallery to make all of its facilities accessible to the disabled. The work will also extend the gallery to enable Mission Gallery to improve its exhibition and educational facilities. The designs by Peter Clash of Clash Associates, Architects will transform the interior of the gallery, and the extension to the building, and the new tower will make the building a distinctive cultural feature within the quayside complex.

In accordance with the requirements of the City and County of Swansea, formal applications are being made for Detailed Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent for alterations and the extension of Mission Gallery.
This exhibition shows the designs by Clash Associates, Architects. Call for Proposals from Artists, Designers, Applied Artists and Makers, for the Interior Design of the Gallery
As part of the redevelopment of Mission Gallery, Swansea by Clash Associates Architects, Mission Gallery wish to appoint an artist/s to work on the design and implementation of artworks for the new gallery. In the first instance the artist/s will be appointed to develop their proposals. The focus of the work will be on the interior design of the gallery. Therefore this is an ideal opportunity for practitioners, who have an understanding of materials and a respect for craftsmanship.
Mission Gallery would like to receive proposals from individuals or teams in response to the brief. The brief is available on the Mission Gallery website.

The brief includes all the information required to make a submission including fees and a budget. This is an excellent opportunity for artists who can work at the highest level. The development phase is fully funded.

Applications can be made by sending:
- A proposal on one sheet of A4 in response to the brief
- CV on two sheets of A4.
The application is to be submitted in a printed form and also on a CD or memory stick.
