Art in Clay at Farnham 2017 at Art in Clay - Farnham 18th - 19th November 2017 The 21th Art in Clay Farnham takes place in November. There will be a range of work from newly qualified artists working in clay to potters with many years of creative work behind them.
Handmade in Britain 17 at Chelsea Old Town Hall 10th - 12th November 2017 Now in its 11th year, this annual winter event returns to Chelsea this November to  showcase fine, contemporary work from 100 designer-makers.

Residential Pottery Courses in France with Sylph Baier - 14th May to 14th October, 2017
It is mainly throwing based and would suit students with some throwing experience but other techniques can also be covered as well as glazing and firing in electric and gas reduction kiln
Experimental Ceramic Workshop - Claire Ireland - 18th September to 20th November, 2017
This course will explore the use of clay in an experimental way 
Slip Decorating With Richard Wilson - 23rd - 25th June 2017
Students will be throwing or press moulding forms to decorate with slips.
Classes in Portugal - Catherine Portal - 18th - 22nd September 2017
A 5 day intensive workshop: 5 days of  'potting' with no interruptions where each one can explore their creativity through hand-building, sculpting or wheelwork and then relax round the garden table over a home-cooked lunch enjoying conversations with fellow potters.

Oxford Ceramics Fair – Application Deadline 8.04.2016

Final Call for Applications: Deadline: Friday, 8th April - The event takes place  29th &  30th October 2016 at St. Edward’s School, Woodstock Road, Oxford OX2 7NN. Oxford is the only CPA exclusive fair and applications to exhibit are almost closed.

The Fair will again be held at St. Edward’s School, Oxford, an independent school with excellent facilities. The venue is easily accessible with good parking and access by public transport, being located in the beautiful city of Oxford and timed at the beginning of the pre-Christmas shopping period.

All categories of CPA membership – Fellows, Selected and Associate members – are eligible to apply.

Following a recent ruling by HMRC, we now have to charge VAT on stands. The costs are as follows:

  • Standard stand – £210 plus VAT. This is made up of 2 x trestle tables and gives an area of 6 feet wide by 4 feet deep and 30 inches high.
  • L-shaped stand – £220 plus VAT.  2 trestles giving frontage of 10 feet.
  • Long stand – £230 plus VAT. 2 trestle tables placed end-to-end giving frontage of 12 feet.
  • Large stand with space to expand £250 plus VAT.
