Brian Holland says: “ Here at Persistence Works there’s a lot of bustle and activity as all the artists have an annual clean and tidy, ready to invite the public into one of Britain’s largest artists’ studio complexes. There will be a lot to see and many different makers including painters, ceramicists, furniture makers, print makers, jewellers, sculptors, metal workers and people working in mixed media. And whilst there come and visit studio 3 where my ceramics will be on display.

Persistence Works
Opened in 2001, our purpose-built Persistence Works studios can be found on Brown Street, next-door to Site Gallery. As well as a selling exhibition curated by Studio 2021 featuring work from over 30 of our makers, there will be a collaborative art project with Fem Sorcell, with a botanical theme. Plus, coffee will be served by Motore Café in our light and airy atrium.

Our recently refurbished Exchange Place Studios occupy a grand art deco building in Castlegate. This gem is quite literally hidden in plain sight and is well worth a visit! Painterly Exchange present a sprawling exhibition of paintings across both our gallery spaces, as well as some free art workshops. Delicious coffee and baked goods will be served by Albie’s.
