Potfest Scotland - 23nd year at Scone Palace, Scotland 7th - 9th June 2019 Marquee event at Scone Palace, Perth with many well known and some yet to be well known potters showing.
Go Eco at Bluecoat Display Centre 15th June to 27th July, 2019 P. V: Friday 14.06.2019, 5.30pm - 7.30pm. An exhibition featuring designer-makers working with eco-friendly materials or with a focus on sustainability. 
Fresh Air Sculpture 2019 at Quenington Sculpture Trust 16th June to 7th July, 2019 Fresh Air Sculpture 2019 will bring over 130 modern pieces of outside sculptural work to this Grade II listed building with its expansive organic garden
Diessen International Ceramics Market at Diessen Potters Market 30th May to 2nd June, 2019 With around 150 potters from Europe. ( Peter Beard, Chris Barnes, Eddie and Margaret Curtis and David Wright will be members showing from Britain)

Regular Pottery Courses by Suleyman Saba - 29th January to 31st December, 2018
Students will learn about preparing clay and different techniques of ceramics from pinch pots and coiled pottery, to slab building and throwing. Students are also guided on aspects of decoration and glazing. 
Lindy Barletta weekday Courses in East Sheen - 1st January to 31st December, 2018
Studio Pottery Making techniques: A terms course covers a project in each - pinching, coiling, slab building and throwing.

Seth Cardew (1934 – 2016)

I have just seen (Wendy Blackburne posted in British Studio Pottery Collectors.) the sad news that Seth Cardew passed away last night. Wendy says:

“I have been asked to pass on very sad news from Ara and the Cardew Family. Seth passed away peacefully last night. He was taken ill whilst with his family in the USA so had his children with him in his last days which was a blessing. Our thoughts are with his family, especially Gaea, Ara and Aeschylus. He was much loved by many of us over here too and I and my family will miss him in so many ways. Godspeed Seth.”

We add our condolences and will be thinking of him and the family.
