Thrown : The Leach Pottery: Living The Legacy

Exhibition presents the Leach Pottery of today and show work by the Leach Pottery's current team of production potters individually as well as collectively through a new collection of their iconic standardware.

"We are extremely proud to announce that this September we will be welcoming into the gallery one of the most respected and influential potteries in the world, the Leach Pottery.

Founded in 1920 by Bernard Leach and Shoji Hamada in St Ives, Cornwall, the Leach Pottery has forged the shape of Studio Pottery in the UK and beyond; sought out by potters from across the world who come to train there.

Our upcoming exhibition ‘The Leach Pottery: Living The Legacy' will present the Leach Pottery of today and show work by the Leach Pottery's current team of production potters individually as well as collectively through a new collection of their iconic standardware.

The Leach Pottery team are also busy creating a set of bespoke tableware of an exclusive set of supper clubs that we will be hosting in the gallery during the exhibition (see more details below)."

A truly unique table will be set up in the gallery this September as Fabulous 698b, the talented chefs behind our summer supper club events, return to the gallery in collaboration with the Leach Pottery. Working closely together on the menu, the Leach Pottery will be creating every single piece for the table, right down to the 'wine glasses', to create an unforgettable introduction to this esteemed pottery.

Tickets are again £60 for a 6-course menu plus complimentary cocktail - served in an original Leach ceramic.

The events start at 7pm with an introduction to our exhibition 'The Leach Pottery: Living The Legacy' followed by the fabulous dinner. There will a selection of wines available for purchase at the bar. There is also the opportunity to purchase the original Leach Pottery tableware, made especially for the events, at an exclusive event price.
