Geffrye Museum, The : Ceramics in the City 2013
Ceramics in the City returns to the Geffrye in September with an exciting range of work by 50 selected ceramicists, a mix of both well-known names and emerging talents. A special launch open evening will take place on Thursday 19 September from 6 - 8.30pm.
An exciting array of work will be on sale, from classic tableware, lighting and other domestic objects to purely decorative and quirky one-off pieces, illustrating a wide variety of techniques, styles, textures and colour.
Delicate porcelain will be shown alongside earthy stoneware, cool white glazes will provide contrast to colourful painted vessels, and lighting will brighten the display.
Prices start from £10 for small objects, rising to several hundred pounds for large-scale work.
