CPA Autumn Fair : Oxford Ceramics Fair 2013

60 of the UK's leading potters will be exhibiting and selling their ceramics. The CPA Associates will also have a stand.

Over two days there will be a varied programme of demonstrations and talks covering all aspects of studio ceramics creation and production.  


Visitors will be able to meet the country's leading potters, buy their work, and watch a full programme of demonstrations and lectures covering many aspects of studio ceramics creation and production.

Potters have to be selected for the event by a CPA-appointed panel, which judges them solely on the quality of their work.

The school refectory will be open for snacks and hot and cold drinks.

Saturday:
11.30 am Sally Macdonell
"Making Faces" • Demonstration
Scuptor Sally will show how she gives character to her figurative sculptures.
2.00 pm Jack Doherty
"A Place in The World" • Talk
Lead potter at the Leach Pottery in St Ives until very recently, Jack will talk about how his pots have developed.
4.00 pm Lisa Hammond
"Tea Wares" • Demonstration
Well known for her contemporary Japanese-influenced soda glazed pieces, Lisa will demonstrate throwing, cutting and altering.

Sunday:
11.30 am David Frith, Demonstration
Celebrating 50 years potting in 2013, David will show thrown and altered shapes and how he achieves surface textures with faceting, paddling and hakeme slip.
2.00 pm Anna Lambert
"Catching the Moment" • Demonstration
Anna's work is based in nature. and here she will create a sense of place and time using slips, relief stamps and stencils.
