Leach Pottery : Jeff Oestreich '77 x 77'in Cornwall

This exhibition of seventy seven original pots is the culmination of Jeff Oestreich's month long residency, and celebrates the return of an artist who began his professional career as apprentice to Bernard Leach more than forty years ago.
Entitled 77x77, the exhibition is dedicated to Jeff's late parents who, after accompanying the twenty one year old to his interview at Leach Pottery in 1968, were so enamoured with St Ives that they were to visit an astonishing 77 times in the following decades, maintaining friendships with Bernard Leach and Bill Marshall among others. In their honour the Leach Pottery has extended an open invitation to friends of Audrey and Jerry Oestreich to attend the opening preview of the exhibition, to share memories and celebrate their lives.
