Eeles family at home : Eeles Family Pottery Open Days

We will be having a Raku Firing or tour of the workshops daily throughout the Bridport and West Dorset Open Studio

We will be holding a Raku firing demonstration every day weather permitting. The whole process will take about one hour. So come and experience the excitement of a red hot Raku pot being lifted from the kiln at temperatures of over one thousand degrees centigrade and placed onto sawdust that instantaneously combusts into an inferno of flames.

While the pot is cooling down you will be given the chance to look behind the scenes with a workshop tour giving you all the history of the pottery and take in also take in one of the largest wood fired Kilns in the country. The Raku firing takes place outside so is weather dependable, the workshop tours will still take place.

The Pottery is located just above the Admiral Hood pub in the village of Mosterton between Crewkerne and Beaminster on the main road A3066.
