23 Jun 2007
23 June - 24 June 2007

Examples of work by:
Leyla Folwell, Nic Collins, Jim Malone, Eddie Curtis and Halima Cassell
Over one hundred ceramic artists, chosen from many more, have been selected for Earth and
Fire 2007, Rufford Craft Centre's International Ceramics Festival which takes place in the
pituresque surroundings of Rufford Country Park from 23 to 24 June 2007.
Now in its 13th year, Earth and Fire is an International Festival of Ceramics featuring
the work of celebrated potters from Britain and Europe. The event provides a rare
opportunity for the public to meet potters to discuss or purchase work and is accompanied
by a programme of children's events, artist's demonstrations, a kiln-firing and trade and
University stands.
The festival brings together many of the UK's most respected ceramicists. Some of the big
names exhibiting in 2007 include Robin Welch, Svend Bayer, Jim Malone
Mike Dodd, Anna Lambert, Sarah Walton, Geoff Fuller
and Ian Gregory.
Earth and Fire also offers an excellent opportunity to sample the delights of Rufford
Country Park, once part of the grand country estate close to Sherwood Forest in north
Nottinghamshire.
Rufford Craft Centre is situated on the A614, 17 miles north of Nottingham and 2 miles
south of Ollerton.
