Stoneware
and porcelain individual vessel forms, mostly thrown, turned and
altered. Ranging in size from small translucent porcelain pieces to
large laminated handbuilt floor standing forms with volcanic surfaces. Technical InformationElectric kilns; 1280 deg.C. Volcanic, reactive or colour qualities of the finished piece come from oxides or materials added to the body, not just applied to the surface. History
Studied
sculpture at St. Martins School of Art, then took a BA in three
dimensional design with ceramics main and silversmithing subsidiary at
Camberwell School of Art. On leaving in 1967 set up a workshop in
Dulwich. At first for financial reasons the output was mainly
tableware. The individual work developed and gradually took over. Exhibitions
