Artists Statement
My work explores the creation of an illusion of depth and visual movement on the surface of porcelain artworks, through the intuitive, yet informed application of colour and glaze. Current Work Available from:Highhead Sculpture Valley, Ivegill, Carlise,Cumbria Technical Information
My work is made with Royale Porcelain from Valentine Clays Ltd, which is slaked into a slip and combined with paper pulp, and is coloured with terracotta and porcelain slips blended with blue-green stain. Alkaline frit solution and manganese dioxide are also used to enhance surface subtleties and nuances. Background History
