Obituary
David died in the last week of October 2011. We were very sorry to hear of his death - he will be much missed. I think Geoff Cox's words say it all: "Dave was very much a self contained and private man but great company and incredibly sharing in his vast knowledge of clay. For me he was very much an unsung hero who just got on with it - didn't play the self publicist game but had more to say, in his work than most who do. He'd known the seriousness of his condition for a while but didn't dwell on it in a negative way - he carried on as normal and still took part in Potfest in the Pens in August this year. Three days later he drove to Burgundy with us to be part of the Treigny show. Still very animated and enthusiastic about the kilns we saw, still buying work from other potters. He then went on to be with long term friends to be part of their annual show in southern France. Although we knew of his condition the end came quicker than anyone expected. He died last Thursday." There is a new website set up in his memory which you might like to visit. Current Work
