Current Work
Tudor Hall School (September 2007-present) Technical Information
Sculptural, thrown earthenware. Each piece is made to an individual size and shape. An angular pattern is uniquely carved over the entire surface of the form. This pattern is glazed while the remaining raised surface is coated in terra sigillata and burnished. The work is fired to 950 C in an electric kiln before being placed inside a metal bin amongst newspaper which is set on fire. Once the soot has been removed the carbon that has impregnated the body can be seen. The surface is then waxed and buffed. Previous Events
