The animal and human theme for my work has been with me from starting
my NDD in ceramic art when I was 16. During my HND my work became more
colourful and theatrical and my degree gave me the time to really
develop my style.
Now just embarking on my 40's, having worked as a full time ceramic artist since graduating, I feel my work has matured. Behind each smiling face or humorous pose is a person with a story. It is my aim to create an infusion of energy, movement, colour and humour in each piece.
I use Earthstone - orignal and handbuilding - and paper clay. Each piece is hand made and decorated in velvet stains, oxides and slips and then fired. Some area are glazed and fired to 06.
