Current Work
I am drawn to the innate, quiet beauty of everyday things and places. Some works are purely sculptural,
others functional, all explore how we inhabit and relate to our space, our landscape. Textured boulders,
spheres and hemispheres can be used as planters, thus, the original form can be developed or altered by the
planting arrangement which offers further sculptural possibilities for each piece as a whole. Technical InformationSculptural forms are slab-built from white stoneware clay, some colour is applied using a form of 'monoprinting'. Vessel forms are constructed from paperclay followed by application of oxides to enhance form and surface. Planters are formed from terracotta or stoneware clays, oxides or matt glazes are applied, followed by firing to vitrification to protect against frost damage. History
